I have learned a lot in these past 6 weeks of this class. It was a bit tough because we were learning material three times as fast as a 16 week course. Starting this class in the beginning was easy because we got a week before the actual class to start to browse all the assignments that were assigned. I was able to reach some of my goals in this course. I was able to manage my time in this class because we have multiple assignments due on different days, so checking all the assignments due ahead of time really helped me out. I completed assignments 2-3 days ahead of time so that I wouldn’t have to worry about missing an assignment if I were to be sick one of these days. Doing this helps me read and properly type up the assignment on one day and revise if necessary on another. Turning in assignments early helps me take my time in completing them, rather than rushing to finish it last minute and not receiving full points on something I hardly took my time on. If I were to procrastinate in this class, I would’ve failed because I don’t work very well under pressure and my assignments would have made no sense at all. I improved my note taking skills in this class because we have multiple chapters to read throughout the week and also the SoftChalk assignments that were assigned. Improving my notes using a document on my laptop really helped me out because if I wrote something in the wrong place, I could easily move them around and fix it. Using a laptop to type up notes that I need for an assignment is easy because of how convenient it is and it’s easily accessible if I were to go back and look at my notes again in the future. I didn’t really write papers in this class, but we have one writing assignment that’s due after this check-in. It’s the project 3. I have a good feeling that this class will help me improve my paper because I get to implement terms from the book to improve my papers overall. In this project, we’re supposed to write up a 3-5 page research paper on the sociological paradigm of our choice. I enjoyed this class because of all the new learning experiences that I had.
